I always felt that Bill Ryan AKA Bill Ryerson needed room to grow. Perhaps when Mr. Wilson wraps up the Jack series he could revive a character from previous works.

Ryan is my favorite Wilson creation. I like him better than Jack. I doubt he'll ever get to him though. He's said in the past that he has no desire to visit the earth post Nightworld and as far as Will Ryan's backstory goes the only part that hasn't been in depth is the years farting around Bermuda. Good idea though and welcome to the board.
...father Bill is truly a stellar character. But c'est la vie if he doesn't get more "footage". What he did for those unfortunate boys leaves good vibes in my heart.
