HAHA!!! I pre-ordered a copy from a Books-A-Million I used to work for and the automated order thingy(technical term) called today to let me know it was in. I managed to spend a few minutes flirting with an ex-coworker and she broke the street date and let me buy it today. On the way home,I realized that I had managed to buy a copy of Ground Zero on 9/11...I would say its a coincidence, but we all know theres no more of thoseBig Grin. To make it even more eerie, last night I was involved in a pretty serious car wreck...some idiot ran a red light and T-Boned me...no one was hurt(although my car was totaled),but I have to wonder....was it all part of a plot by the Otherness to keep me from obtaining my copy of Ground Zero today?? If so,he-who-must-not-be named failed...theres pizza in the oven, yuengling in the fridge, and I'm just getting ready to crack open the book...see you all on the other side!!

Hiyo Goddamn Silver!!!!

Yes, but.... being a Kindler, I now keep my DTB (Dead Tree Book) purchases to an absolute minimum. You and Pratchett are pretty much the only two authors I buy in hardcover at all anymore.

At first Ford had formed a theory to account for this strange behavior. If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, he thought, their mouths probably seize up.
After a few months' consideration and observation he abandoned this theory in favor of a new one. If they don't keep on exercising their lips, he thought, their brains start working.
