I watched Constantine last night and two things struck me: first I can't believe an actor as bad as Keanu keeps getting prime roles and second, I didn't much care for Peter Stormare's take on the Devil. It got me to thinking(it's rare but does happen) about the best portrayals of Satan. I couldn't generate much of list. I came up with De Niro in Angel Heart and Ray Wise from Reaper. I know there are plenty of others so what do you got?

Doesn't it seem like there should be more and I find it interesting that out of these suggestions half of them are in comedies-apparently we don't take the devil too seriously. I'm still struggling to come up with more.

John Glover made a great Satan on the tv series BRIMESTONE!

Another movie that could have been "great" in my opinion, but was sorely lacking.

It might not have been a great movie, but I agree with both of the above. Gabriel Byrne was the best devil.
