Question for The Man:
Just finished Hosts, again, and I had a question regarding the number of Unity members necessary to guarantee the virus would mutate into an airborne strain.
The Unity seemed to be uncertain that it could occur with only 7 and were overjoyed to get Kate in as the 8th member.
As the series progresses the number 7 (Infernals, Septimus Order, Weezy refers to it being mentioned often in the Compendium, etc.) seems to be increasingly involved; a "rule of 7", if you will.
Was it intentional or simply coincidence that the Unity Virus' airborne mutation was certain with 8, not 7, members?

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):
Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis
On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout
