Today was the opening day, so I saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Just one word: "Swell". See? As I said "No spoilers". Big Grin

Okay, I want to say more. "T.F.:RotF" had high quality CGI and spectacle action scenes. They were amazing. A lot of robots were there, and their speedy moves surprised me. But storyline and characters were poor ( I don't like Shia LaBeouf as Sam. Moreover, I don't like Sam's parents. They irritated me! ).

Well, it's Michael Bay's destructive movie as usual. If you liked first film, and if 2 hours 30 min doesn't annoy you, you'll enjoy it more.

Did the movie at least pick a tone and stay with it? The previous movie had trouble with that. It was an uneasy fusion of a light-hearted story about a boy and his friendly robot car and a violent horrorfest about the human race being attacked by shape-shifting death machines.

johntfs, this is Michael Bay's action movie. You can guess about that. Wink

This time, there wasn't a light-hearted story.

The only thing missing from the abbreviation of the title is an L

Transformers: RotFL

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Well, unless I get to Roll On The Floor for 2.5 hours with Meagan Fox, then that doesn't seem like a very good deal...to me.

I would watch Megan Fox Roll On The Floor for two and a half hours. With or without transformers.

Enough Megan Fox...sheesh.

We saw Transformers last night. No spoliers....but

I hate the parents. If they were mine...I'd run away from home.
Lots of material in this one that could have been cut and it wouldn't have hurt the story.
My one complaint....in the first movie...they slowed down the transforming from one form to the other...it was neat. In this movie...the action was too fast...almost overwhelming.
All in all though...I enjoyed the movie.

Well now, Megan Fox is easy on the eyes. :p

But agreed, too much with the parents and other things that just didn't need to be there.
The action was swift and jam packed into this one, you have to admit. If asked for a favorite, the original would be my choice.

We need to start thinking of what the third Transformers movie title will be. I think it's gonna use the abbreviation Transformers: LMAO.
