Not that it's all about me but IT"S ABOUT DAMN TIME SOMETHING WENT RIGHT FOR ME THIS WEEK!

I'd settle for your "Things in the works" panning out, FPW.

Good night and good luck.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

beowulf Wrote:I respectfully disagree. It often takes movies years before they come to fruition. Especially now with all studios considering every movie to be a "franchise" opportunity. This is the nature of the film industry beast. But, with a unique and profitable property like RJ, you can be sure that we will see him on the big screen some day. I'm sure FPW is intent on ensuring that however he appears, it is the highest quality machination possible.

I hope you're right. But it's usually best to strike when every level of the fire is hot. Let me give an example from music. In 1978, I think it was, The Kinks released an album called MISFITS. Ray Davies, their chief guy, is a =great= songwriter. But even the best have their off-days. One song on the album was called HAY FEVER, and yes, it was about hay fever. Their bass player described the sessions (paraphrasing): "Oh, God! We did it in A. We did it in D. We did it in E. We did it with horns. We did it without horns. We did it with backing vocals. We erased the backing vocals, and overdubbed different ones. And when we finally got it the way Ray liked it, we looked at each other. 'All that for =this=?' That's when I quit the band."

Of course this simile only goes so far--THE TOMB has massively more potential than HAY FEVER--but sometimes you just have to lay down the damn track, and move on.

That's my take anyway. (It was in C#m, with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing backup.:pWinkBig Grin.)

And Rudi Julie Annie will win the election over Hillary Klinton by a squeaker.

We know the quality of your predictions.

The endless re-writes have been done, an actor has been selected, and locations have also been pretty much selected -- long ago.

Choosing a director and so on seem to be the stumbling blocks now.

Many movies have taken much longer to produce, so to positively say that it won't happen is just a bit premature.

Ken V.

I was hardly the only soul to expect that Rudy and Hillary would duke it out back then. But of course, you know everything about everything. Yeah!Rolleyes

And, of course, I "blather." You don't bother to say =why= you disagree. That might beyond your power.

My advice:

Take your foot off the effects pedal.

Ease up on the pounding keyboard ostinatos.

Don't go =near= the crash cymbal.

And, oh, yeah...

Try to be a courteous gentleman.

Which Paul would like you to be.

Myself? I've given up on you.

You don't want discussion at all.

You want to feel like a Big Man.

You find good luck with that.

Bye, bye.

This is good advice for all. Ladies should be courteous too, just not gentlemen (unless they want to, that's up to them).

The 4 demandments:
Get a job.
Be nice.
Raise your own kids.
Mind your own f**king business.

These simple rules should cover everything to keep things working right.

Perhaps you might try reading a post before responding to it.

You said that the movie wouldn't happen because of "The endless rewites, "who's gonna play Jack?", where's it gonna be filmed?, etc."

Well, all that has been done and settled . . . long ago.

So, to positively state that it isn't going to happen -- based on things which have already been done -- is more than a bit silly.

In all the years we've been on this board, you have NEVER given me reason to think otherwise.

In fact, it seems that you go out of your way to reinforce that image.

If so, then he's in for a big disappointment.

He's not much more than a minor irritant.

You should try to get Moby to sign on for the soundtrack. Not only did I love his work on the Bourne series, but you're his favorite author apparently. Getting somebody of his notoriety to sign on might give the studios a kick in the ass.

Remember all of the SAVE FERRIS bumper stickers and stuff in the 80s? Maybe we need to launch a MAKE THE REPAIRMAN JACK MOVIE, DAMNIT! campaign.

minor irritant ... you mean like insulation, bleach or poison ivy?

The world is full of idiots ... It's up to you to not be one of them.
