Karithna Wrote:In my opinion, that's what will be so hard do cast him. All the choices floating around this forum are ok, but can you think of one actor who can be so subdued and terrifible, yet not too pretty? I think he'll have to be an unknown. They just don't make em perfect. Back when I first read The Tomb, I thought maybe Bruce Willis, But that was about 20 years ago. At the rate this is progressing, even Ryan Reynolds will be 50 by the time it gets into production.
Desmond Harrington:
Age 33 (same age as Reynolds)
Height: 5'10"
Eyes: blue (will need brown contacts)
Origins: grew up in the Bronx and attended Catholic schools.
Acting chops: Is capable and not as pretty as Reynolds. Although he has had a number of roles in the last decade, he is also not as well known (ie: he has not done as many chick flicks) as Reynolds.
Attitude toward acting: ""I could have taken a bigger role in a smaller movie, but for me it's never about the size of the role" comment after being cast with Mel Gibson in
We Were Soldiers (2002).
He was the hero in
Wrong Turn, and in
Ghost Ship. Specialist Bill Beck in
We Were Soldiers. More recently, on TV, he has played Joey Quinn on
Dexter for 12 episodes and Troy on
Rescue Me for 7 episodes.
Looks like: cross between Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck (with more of the former than the latter). Does not, normally, have the physique that Reynolds has, which is more Jack-esque IMO.
Hope this helps.
