While i wouldn't pretend to be as capable of catching all the nuances of this show as other member of the site, i did notice that they met at slip "23" of the marina and that Kate lived at "42" Panorama, both of which were in Hurley's number list.

Anyone else see any number correlations there?

And if i'm wrong on those numbers than i just watch the show for the smoke monster sightings...

Keamy did the deed, but Ben allowed it to happen, as if it was a dare to be done.

So why would she, how could she, recognize him? Jin has no clue that he has travelled in time. He hasn't witnessed any of the time travelling stuff that we have all seen; I don't think he was privvy to any of that on the freighter. He's going to be mighty confused.

Wow, I don't even understand that question. LOL

I was meaning in the current time after Danielle is crazy and the losties first meet her. I can't remember if there was any eps where Danielle and Jin are together much but if she had met him in the past which we just saw wouldn't she have recognized him in the future when she meets him again. Also with the story she might have mentioned finding a man in the ocean.(maybe not its not really signifigant but all she really mentioned was the people from the black rock. As for the other comment I was referring to the time travel being a loop or not. If it was a loop they could not change the future for it would have already happened regardless. But with the hints like Daniel telling Des to go to his mother and him all of a sudden remembering it and with this sort of hint that Danielle had met Jin before the crash of 815 it sort of implies that they can change the future or should we take it as that.

Desmond didn't really remember until "after" (these terms get confusing) Daniel and the others had gone back in time. In this sense it doesn't seem like a loop really. I've been trying to figure out if the Locke / Richard Alpert thing fits this scenario or not. I don't think we know conclusively based on what we've seen that Richard already "knew" Locke when he visited him as a child. If he DID, then that seemingly contradicts the non-loop theory where Desmond didn't remember the Daniel incident until "now" and that Danielle of last season for example didn't remember Jin from 16 years prior.

The Lock and Richard interaction is the only thing that sort of stands on it's own as a loop but we also don't know if its a loop. It may have just been set in place. The compass had to have come from somewhere at some point in time. The "which of these items already belongs to you" line makes it seem like its a loop. So im lost on this part :dontknow::confused:

I'll join your confusion. Time on a loop made sense. Changing the past too much might cause some undesirable ripples.

Remember that Daniel told Desmond outside the hatch in the episode that happened a couple of weeks ago, that Desmond is very very special, that the rules of time and the rules of the Island don't apply to him. Daniel repeated that at least twice.

So whatever happens with Desmond and time and memory won't necessarily extrapolate to anyone else on the show.

Number sightings and references are sprinkled in nearly every episode for the whole 4 + years of the show.

I tried to see the numbers on the gun that was delivered to Sun underneath her candy, but I couldn't read them fast enough. They may have been the special numbers.

I remember so much because I've seen each episode at least 10 times. I'm not kidding. I keep them running in the background, like music. So I'm very familiar with the show from beginning to .... well, to where we are now. I know, I know, I need to get a life. But I do have a life. I just make sure I fit LOST in. LOL

That is some serious dedication. I must not have a long enough attention span. At the start of every episode I tell my self I'm really going to pay attention and look for those little things. But I get caught up thinking about a scene and replaying it in my mind and some little tidbit with critical info slips right past me. I'm going to have to keep some kind of time index log next time of possible things to check afterwards and quit trying to think it all out DURING the show. Big Grin

I did go back and freeze a frame where the gun is pretty clear. From what I can see, the numbers say SZ113. While it may not be "the" numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if it means something.

Go back and re-watch the episode. You'll see that Ben did not expect that to happen to his daughter. He was going off of a set of predetermined rules and Keamy changed those rules.

All Ben is guilty of is underestimating Martin Keamy.

LOL, in this particular instance, yes, that's true.

But Ben is SO guilty of SO many things on this show. He may turn out to be an angel in disguise, but if he is, boy, is he deeeeeep under cover. LOL
