colburn0004 Wrote:About miles, when was Chang and dharma on the island making the videos? It was before or around the time Ben got there wasn't it? So wouldnt this make changs baby too old to be miles?
That's why I said in my post when I first posited this theory that the age of the baby APPEARS about right. It was the '70's. Miles is in his 30's. It could be.

I recommend pleasant.

Maggers Wrote:What ever happened to the theory of The Constant? Penny being Desmond's constant kept Desmond mentally rooted... wherever .... and his nosebleeds and time shifting symptoms stopped. Desmond being Daniel's constant seemed to help Daniel. Why not apply that to Charlotte, find a constant for Charlotte? Or are the circumstances different and so the theory doesn't apply. I'm not enough of a physicist to know. Big Grin

It's possible that Charlotte isn't a gonner yet. Desmond seemed to have had a few more episodes than she. Is it possible that Daniel has forgotten about the "constant factor"? Maybe he needs to check that diary of his.

And why isn't Miles having these episodes?

Didn't both Daniel and Desmond sort of calm down after they found their constants? No more nosebleeds (Desmnd) and bizzarro behavior (Desmond mostly and Daniel forgetting things).

The writers need to check Daniel's diary.

Charlotte's too interesting. She will stick around for a while, me thinks.

I want more of Miles. He's endearing in his offputting way.

Ooh OOh OOOOOhhhh!

I just had a fantastic flash

I KNOW WHY RICHARD ALPERT WEARS EYELINER, and it's so obvious that he does.

HE'S BEEN ON THE ISLAND SINCE THE TIME OF THE EGYPTIANS! HE'S EGYPTIAN! I BET HE IS!

I understand there is supposed to be a big Egyptian connection that will be made known sometime this season. At least I think it's this season.

You confused me. What/who was Miles' constant? I thought Desmond was the only one who survived after getting nosebleeds. I don't remember Miles with a nosebleed. In fact, we need a Miles-centric episode.

I think something different is happening with Charlotte. Desmond and Minkowski would both black out for a brief period of time that was growing larger as time went on. Desmond's blackout (in 2004) were only a second or two but Minkowski, who had the symptoms longer, would pass out in the bed he was in. But maybe Charlotte has had these mini blackouts and it'll be shown in a 'See-she-was-blacking-out-the-whole-time' episode and it only really became know with the major nosebleed.

I hurt my brain.

I knew I noticed that little tidbit for a reason! I'm thinking this is right. The statue in the jungle reminded me of ancient Egyptian statues.

You are right, we haven't seen Daniel Farraday with nosebleeds. But his mind was affected. He couldn't remember those 3 cards we saw Charlotte and Dan playing with on the beach last season. At the end of The Constant episode, Dan grabbed his diary and thumbed through it to find the what he'd written in another time DESMOND HUME IS MY CONSTANT. And his mind seemed to have gotten better since then, though Daniel will always be slightly flakey.

I think you are right. We think Charlotte was born on the Island. Maybe that somehow enhances the effect of the time shifting. Who knows what other electromagnetic forces she encountered on the Island or elsewhere, but most likely on the Island.

So Eloise Hawing, aka white haired woman or clock woman, is little rifle toting Ellie of the '50's. I suspect she is Daniel's mother, and I wouldn't be surprised if Widmore is Daniel's father. What if Ellie is also the mother of Penny, Widmore's known child. Woo hoo, if that were true, we'd have another pair of unsuspecting brothers and sisters, Daniel and Penny, along with Jack and Claire, each fathered by men with very close ties to the Island, and each opposed to the other, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Jack and Claire's father seems to be a spirit on the Island rather than a part of its past, but we don't know that whole story yet.

You're talking about Daniel there, right?

Yes, Daniel Farraday, the physicist. Last season, in a night scene on the beach at the survivors' camp on the Island, Charlotte was testing Daniel Farraday's memory and it wasn't good. In fact, Daniel said it was getting worse. Then the whole rest of The Constant episode unfolded and ended with Daniel thumbing excitedly through his diary/journal and finding the notes he had left for himself say DESMOND HUME IS MY CONSTANT.

Yeah, sorry, it's not Miles. My typo which I will go back and fix in a couple of posts. Sorry to have been confusing.
