That was a great LOST moment, for sure. I knew that Widmore had to have a history on the Island. However, I didn't think it would THAT sort of history, as an Other, for heavens' sake.

Wow, that's a great notion and I nodded my head in agreement when I read it. But if it was an H bomb that imploded along with the hatch, wouldn't they all be dead?

I'm coming to love Daniel Farraday. What a mensch! He started out as such a wimp, but he is rising to the occasion.

I cannot stand that skinny little girl with the gun, Ellie. Do we know any Ellie's from any other time in the show?

What I'd like to know is if they do bury the H-bomb and 50 years later, wouldn't the Desmond hatch explosion cause it to go off as well?

Apparently we are thinking the same thing, Medusa.

Just a wild, completely off the wall notion. Is Ellie (the woman with the gun in 1954) Daniel's mom? It was the way her hair is put up (as the clock woman's is) and that Daniel said she looked familiar.

Wow, that's another great idea. You might be on to something. She had a way of pursing her lips that Mrs. Hawking sort of does, with a bit of a sour puss look about her, which Mrs. Hawking also has when she wants to be stern. Mrs. Hawking was how the white haired woman was listed in the cast back in the third season when we first met her, and how she is listed in the cast for this season as well.

I thought Ellie bore a resemblance to Theresa (but was not Theresa), the girl left behind by Daniel and visited by Desmond, the blond girl who was a victim of time shifting illness and whose care was supported by Whidmore. I thought that was to whom Daniel was referring when he mentioned that Ellie reminded him of someone. I think Theresa is the girl in the picture with Daniel that Desmond found when he broke into Daniel's old lab at Oxford.

However, if Theresa was an old girlfriend of Daniel's it wouldn't be inconsistent in the scheme of things for Daniel to have chosen as a girlfriend a woman who bore a resemblance to his mother. We do that, as humans.

If it is true then Widmore was selecting people with ties to the island for his team. Miles said Charlotte was born there and we've pretty much agreed that Miles was Chang's baby. So does Lapidus have a deeper tie? Or is it just because he knew something was fishy about the wreckage?

On another note, in Hurley's episode, one of the LAPD cops staking out his house... the tall, bald black guy. I kept thinking it was Abaddon. It never clearly showed him.

It would be great if they all end up directly tied to the island. But the big black guy looked too young. I was looking at him for this exact reason thinking it was him. About miles, when was Chang and dharma on the island making the videos? It was before or around the time Ben got there wasn't it? So wouldnt this make changs baby too old to be miles?

LOL Alvin, as brilliant as I think we all are, just because we think it might be so on LOST, I would never say the discussion is closed, because those writers are forever throwing us curves.

I was wondering that myself, but his tie as the Oceanic Flight 815's almost-captain may have been enough. I don't think we've seen the last of him, though. Lapidus is too cool a character not to return to LOST.
