I recently picked up on the cheap (gotta love Ebay) a Gauntlet edition of Gateways - it is hard bound and with the same dust cover as the limited edition but it is unsigned and with no Limitation page. Anyone know anything about this??

Thanks.

In bold is what throws me off. Gauntlet is the limited edition. There should be a page in the front that has a number or PC listed. And even the PC copies that Gauntlet sends out are usually signed.

Can you scan the cover and post it here or give us the Ebay link? Maybe you got an ARC.

I think the real question is: did you get a Jesus pamphlet with your order?

OK - I cant get posting pics to work - never can seem to do that - so here is a link to my Flickr page:

So everyone can see the book. I took pics comparing it to other Gauntlet editions I have, Took pics of the spine, Dust Cover and the Copyrite page

I noticed a few other things while taking these pics:

1: End papers were white - In All The Rage and Harbingers there is art work on the end papers, but with Bloodlines and By the sword there is not. I don't know how it was with Gateways

2: The outer wraps of the book have a cloth like texture. EVERY OTHER book I have from Gauntlet (6 of them) the wraps are done in a Leather(?) type texture

Thanks to anyone who knows what this is

I'm not home at the moment so I can't compare my copy with yours, but is there a page in the front of the book that has a number or 'PC' hand written on it? It would be in the first couple of pages.

Nope - no Signature/Limitation page at all - that is the main thing that got me to start this thread - my Gauntlet is completely unsigned

Hey, this is something I was always curious about. I got my copy of Gateways from Gauntlet. Preordered and everything. When I got it it was signed on the title page but there was no page that said "This is number XXX of 475 copies." Or however many copies there were. So my questions is for everyone who has a gauntlet edition of Gateways: is your copy numbered?
