On the brighter side - it does give me something to look forward to this year - after all, the political situation over there certainly isn't.... Rolleyes[/COLOR]

Has anyone read Nelson DeMille's Night Fall? It's the third in the John Corey series (very terrific!). The book tells of John Corey's investigation of the TWA Flight 800 explosion (off the coast of Long Island, in 96) and the witnesses who say it was shot down. It ends with the 9-11 plane crashes and hints to possible connections.

Ya know maybe if we had The LAST page of Ground Zero it would help to ease the pain of the long long long wait...

This is worse than when I quit smoking.

By the way, I spoke to a man who was involved in the construction of the towers and he said that they fell the way they did BY DESIGN. Ever wonder who would make a design like that?? Maybe someone who had alterior motive??? Something to think about

Maybe he meant they were designed to fall collapsing on themselves, and not on the surrounding buildings?

Maybe he did not mean they were "built to fall", but built with structures designed, in case of dire damages, to collapse on themselves instead of falling on the surrounding buildings?

I quit smoking for health reasons...and also so those prissy parents that shun smokers can find someone else to pay for their bratty kids' educations.

Wise decision, sig, but I find a lager and a smoke go together like ham and eggs.
And with poker too. I was playing last night (small time stakes), and found meself with a decision to make. Will my four jacks hold up against Claude's =potential= straight flush? "Gentlemen, let me ponder deeply here..." Lit a Marlboro and studied the cards. "Claude, I don't believe you. See your raise and reraise fifty cents." "Another fifty," sez Claude. "See that and raise the final fifty." "You been called, Mike," said the dealer. "Four jacks, Ceege. You make that hand you wanted?" "No! Oy, Mike, gimme a smoke for the love of your Christian God."

I handed Claude the pack while raking in the chips with my other hand.Big Grin

How does one afford to smoke???I remeber when I was in high school and I sold cigs for 10cents ea. I was only paying about a buck for a pack ( if that much) Now look at the price. Plus you have to figure the cost of the iron lung your going to need.
