Hi all, I hope you guys can help me. Does anyone know what the Limited Editions (signed) of The Haunted Air are going for? The only ones I see are on ebay for $125 and on amazon for $599! Do you think the $125 is a good deal or is the $599 artificially inflated? They actually have more than one book at the $599 price at amazon and those are old library copies, but I cannot find anyplace that can give me an idea of the value of this book. Can anyone help?
Thank you!

$599 for a used library copy? i really don't see any library having a signed limited edition, let alone a book that used going for six hundred bucks. paul, does this even sound possible??

The Haunted Air
is the most difficult Gauntlet RJ 1st edition to find. (The Tomb from Whispers Press is the rarest of all). Though the Forge hardcover says "First Edition" inside, the Gauntlet edition is the true first by a number of months. I don't know why it's so difficult to find. It had the same 500-copy print run as the others but has the highest resale price. Maybe it was picked up by ghost/haunting fans who aren't regular RJ buyers. All I can say is, Good hunting.[/SIZE]

I thought I posted again but it did not go. If this is a duplicate, my sincere apologies.

I am looking at a Gauntlet Press Limited Edition, numbered copy, signed by The Man himself.

Any guesses would be appreciated. What is everyone's view, value closer to $125 or $500? I really really dont want ot be a pain, but this is lots of bucks either way!

Thank you all very much :-)

Your original post went through fine, Spookystuff.

Isn't it funny how we fans would pay high coin?

I'm thinking now of the lost Dylan songs written after DESIRE. Bob wrote them about his divorce. He played them, acoustic, for a couple of bandmates from the Rolling Thunder tour. They both said the songs were among the best he's ever written. Cold and unhappy, from a man void of hope.
If I could find a boot of them, a hundred bucks would be a bargain.

I spent $200 for a copy of The Haunted Air earlier this year. So, $125 is quite the bargain. In fact, any of the RJ limiteds bought after Gauntlet is sold old usually go for around $100. I kept coming across that $599 copy during my search. I kept passing it up. I think it's the same person trying to sell it on all of these different sites.

I've seen one copy, in an Ebay auction, bid up to $511 this year.

I'd wait to find a reasonable"Buy it Now" price, or just pony up the big dollars. Also, make sure you buy the Gauntlet Limited, and not a "PC" copy, or a signed Forge copy.
