The bone has essentially died, but I still have most of a range of motion and little pain. If you go chasing x-rays then you can make a tenable situation very untenable. If I get more pain then I can go for a partial or complete fusion.

Good luck with that. Make sure you pick a hand doc that knows WELL what he is doing....when ever you "get there".

Pretty sound advise. I had trouble holding onto tools for a few days after I shot that derringer. (for a while, I thought I had broken something in my hand. You know since hindsight is 20/20, when you're mad, hit walls with your left too.

Well! Now we have the view of someone who has actually fired that Derringer . . . I defer to your actual experience.
