Yup to RDA.

Thanks for the welcome, Wapitikev! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who could picture RDA in that role Smile

Heck RDA is from Minnesota...he's practically a Canadian...probably a cousin of mine...and Webby's.

Unfortunately, the studio is looking for someone with international box office appeal...aka an action hero. Looks like we'll get one whether we want one or not. There are certainly worse choices out there than Saw Worthington...who was on the cover of Esquire this month, I might add.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

I watched Skinwalkers, a fairly decent low budget horror movie, and I thought the lead baddie had some RJ potential. He's Jason Behr and I don't think he's been mentioned yet. No idea if he has an international fan base or not, just thought he could pull it off.

Not a bad choice...just stop him from smiling...his mouth is WAY too wide. Good Joker candidate, however.

Got one I am unsure of. He is a great actor and I think soon he will be one of the biggest names. He's a bit young but I wanted to see what you guys thought. He's almost thirty so make him look a bit older and honestly I think he is perfect. Plus he is filming Inception which is directed by Christopher Nolan (Dark Knight) and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page (Juno). Also, I heard that if the Joker has to make an appearance in the 3rd Batman film it will be him. Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He may have been mentioned. I think he'd be a good Jack or Rasalom.

Looks a little like Heath Ledger. Better than average choice, but he doesn't have that international box office draw...yet.

I'm telling you Wap it's just a matter of time. Want proof? The Lookout is a prime example. Stop Loss also another. He has a small part but steals the show. Brick is pretty good too. This guy is waiting to break out and I have a feeling Inception might just be his opportunity. Then maybe he could star as a major series character. You know one that they make like thirteen or fourteen movies about and create a huge empire on toys and oscars. I dunno. Just a thought a dream and a prayer.

Are you his brother?

Seriously though, there are few on the board who would argue so passionately for any actor. I respect that.

I saw him in Stop Loss and have not seen Brick yet but I had intended to in the near future. I'll have to add Lookout to that list.

I'm sure his reputation will grow over time, but at this point I'm only willing to say that I won't stay away if he is Jack, but he's not my first choice.

And the way the studio is talking, if he's not already established, he won't be Jack.

I'm a strong believer in the "get an unknown with talent and let him shine in this movie" line of thought, but the studio seems to be going the other way. And to be honest, if their choice is a good one, I wouldn't disagree with that...particularly since we all want the first movie to be so strong that there are sequels.

I'll post back after I've seen a few more of his movies.

Well, I would say Nathan Fillion or Thomas Jane. Both have the "average" look and build, already have chestnut brownish hair. Personally, I would love to see Nathan Fillion get it only because he's shown that he can play the goofy, with the not-so-fuzzy-wuzzy.
