Welcome, d13. You'll like it here.

Ok. Both were good choices, 7-10 years ago. However...

Thomas Jane:40
Nathan Fillion: 38
Jack in the Tomb: 35

Thomas Jane's age when (optimistically) filming begins: 42
Nathan Filion's age when (optimistically) filming begins: 40
Jack in the Tomb: 35

Thomas Jane's age after (optimistically) filming one sequel a year, thereafter, for 10 years: 52
Nathan Fillion's age after (optimistically) filming one sequel a year, thereafter, for 10 years: 50
Jack's age in Nightwlord: 38

Ability to suspend disbelief that a 50 year old guy is 38?

FAIL.

The Jack we choose today to star in the Tomb and it's sequels, in order to pass for 38 in 12 years from now, HAS to be between 29 and 33 TODAY. When Nightworld is filmed 15 years from now they would be 41-46 playing 38.

THAT, I could suspend disbelief on.

Otherwise Jack becomes a revolving door of actors...and we all know how well that worked out with a certain 007 character.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Was just going through his IMDB filmography and I realized that he was in 10 Things I Hate About You. Wow, times change.

And he's 28 which almost fits the age-bracket for sequels.

He just needs more drawing power. In that regard, YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!

If I was the casting director though this would be my dream cast... add in make up when needed...

Jack - Joseph Gordon Levitt
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4199191552/nm0330687
Gia - Rachel McAdams http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3211304192/nm1046097
Abe - John Goodman
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2209454336/nm0000422
Kusum - Sendhil Ramamurthy
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3691875072/nm0707983
Kolabati - Riya Sen

and for future films

Rasalom - want an older villain?
Daniel Day Lewis
http://images1.fanpop.com/images/image_u...50_549.jpg

younger?
Your could do Levitt if another Jack is selected or
Zach Quinto
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4052259840/nm0704270

Glaeken - Throw some weight on this guy by pumping him full of steroids and it is Glaeken to the T!

http://www.apexbookcompany.com/apex-onli...ul-wilson/

But seriously, a now older Schwarzenegger could do the job but I wouldn't like it. Heck, I wouldn't mind Scott Glen at all.

Really though, here are three perfect guys

1. Anthony Hopkins - The best selection in my book and you CANNOT go wrong with him.

2 Clint Eastwood - Has the build and acting chops again can't go wrong but I think Hopkins would be better.

3. Tommy Lee Jones - Never makes a bad movie.

ok so I got a fourth

4. Sean Connery - Who else? Oh those other 3.

a fifth... Robert Redford.

What do you guys think? The only ones I'm unsure of are Glaeken and Sal Roma.

David Schwimmer................................................No.

No?!

But this photo reminded me of the last moment of THE TOMB.

He is David Schwimmer! Big Grin

(Been awhile since I've visited this thread, and without going over all the posts added since then, I'm just going to share some opinions based on one of the newer posts, so don't beat me up too badly)

Irish, I like your choices for Abe, Gia, and Kusum. If I remember correctly, Rasalom and Glaeken didn't appear in The Tomb. I almost wonder if Zack Quinto wouldn't make a good Repairman Jack. I realize that Jack is supposed to have a fairly 'normal' look, but remember his eyes are usually pretty intense at times, similar to Zack Quinto's.

I think this has been mentioned before, but here's the guy I've forever pictured as Julio (Danny Trejo):

If they were ever to make a Nightworld movie (which I doubt will ever happen, unfortunately), here's who I picture as Glaeken (Sean Connery, although the picture's pretty old):

After much exaustive reading I've come to a few conclusions:

David Schwimmer in that pic looks like a candidate for Sandy Palmer

Danny Trejo IS awesome but too old for Julio

Nathan Fillion is working on one of my new favs Castle and I want him to stay there

Joseph Gordon Levitt will always be the kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun

Chris Pine is slowly moving his way up to the top of my Jack list

Rachel McAdams is a fine choice

Clint Eastwood would be a nice Glaeken

And am I the only one that pictures Rasalom not being white?
Kenji   08-29-2009, 08:49 PM
I think Clint Eastwood is good for Jack's father.

Sandy Palmer is definitely Shia LaBeouf!

You're not the only one.
Considering Rasalom changes forms a lot throughout the Adversary Cycle and Repairman Jack novels, he could be any color. I've often times pictured one of his various forms as having dark brown skin, dark eyes, jet-black slicked back hair, and wearing a white suit.

Heck, if we are to believe the realtor's story in Haunted Air, Rasalom changed form SO drastically he looked like a woman when she/he owned Menalaus Manor...Sara Lom. I wonder how much was physical and how much was mind control.
