you know the more i thought about a jack movie the more excited i got, and then it hit me how about FPW as a cast member he would be perfect as the reporter that dreams about jack fixx??

Has anyone thought about Luiz Guzman as a suggestion to play Julio. He's got the "I don't give a crap" attitude down, he's is also quick witted, and he and Ryan Reynolds have worked together before. In "Waiting" he played a cook (Raddimus) to Ryan's womanizing waiter character. I can picture him (filthy bar towel slung over his shoulder) sassing with Jack, seeming careless about the goings on in the bar ,but all the while completely in sync with the regulars and Jack and his meetings. Just a thought. (and a babbling one at that)

Yes. Although he hasn't been mentioned in a while, I think the first one to recommend him for the part of Julio was Jimbo8, on the old board, more than five years ago.

I always wondered if that was FPW's way of writing himself into the script. Either that, or it's his way of telling us he "is" P. Frank Winslow, better known as F. Paul Wilson.:confused:

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to handsome...Jack is the average pale male, not the average male escort, plus he's on his way to 41 years old...Jack's supposed to be early to mid 30s in the first movie and only a couple of years older than that at the end of the 15th book.

Lightweight and too old...Gia's supposed to be late 20s to 30...Bello's turning 42 in April.

Danny Devito as Abe

Almost 4 years ago, on another "casting thread", Danny Devito was listed as the worst possible choice for Abe. I agree. And again, a little old at 65...Abe has a daughter that's around 25. He's more likely about 50.

He's about the right age, build, look, etc. He'd make an excellent Julio and he's my new favourite choice for that character. Good work, phone_man!

It will be interesting to see what Persephoneslove thinks of him.

Not a bad thought. I've said before that I enjoy nearly every one of Guzman's roles...I'm not sure if he's physically imposing enough to be Julio, however.

I prefer mr_telephone_man's recomendation of Amaury Nolasco.

He's not overly tall at 5' 10.5" but he can be menacing like Johnny Trejo (who would be great but is too old for the part):
