I think George is a bit too high on the classically beautiful scale for Gia, though I do like her age range and facial look much more than Cuthbert. The way I see Gia is that she is most definitely pretty but in a unique way that makes others really take a second look at her. She should have an interesting face, not just a pretty one.

I guess when it comes to Gia, i always figured Jack never wanted to draw attention to himself and what draws more attention than being at a party, looking over and seeing a breathtaking woman? Then the next thought is who is she with, which may draw attention to Jack. I always envisioned her as beautiful in a quiet manner, I'll see if I can think of any actresses that fit that description...at the moment i can't.

maybe quiet is the wrong word, subtle may be better. hell, i'm not the writer someone help me with this...

Ken Valentine Wrote:What does "Italian" look like?

If I remember right, Gia's family came from Northern Italy, and up to at least 1893, France went down the left (western) side of the Italian "boot" almost to Rome, and Italy (then called "The Italies") squirted around the Adriatic on the East, all the way down the Dalmatian coast to Ragusa (Dubrovnic) in what was later Yugoslavia.

In the north of what is now Italy, there was a mixture of peoples, French, Swiss, and others.

Maybe you're thinking of the dark-haired, dark-eyed, olive-skinned people who lived in the Southern part of Italy, and Sicily.

Ken V.

I finally have an answer for Ken:

Italian, to me, looks like:

Sophia Loren
Michelle Pfeiffer
Jessica Biel

This list occurred to me when I (again) saw Jessica Biel and said to myself "Damn! She looks just like Gia, to me."

My very next thought was "Damn! She reminds me of Sophia Loren."

...and so on, etc.

She's a little young now, but she'd be perfect in 3 years.

Getty looks nothing like Jack as I imagine him, but would work. I personally love Ryan Reynolds.Big Grin

GREAT Gia.

Is Eddie a good actor? I imagine Abe with more life, and a better presence.

Love Jacob as Julio.Big Grin

I think I agreed on this one with you, when you mentioned him earlier in this thread...good call.

I vote with Wapitikev. I think Melissa George would be a perfect Gia. Anyway, she matches my mental image of her pretty closely.
