Lysistrata Wrote:Hi everybody, I am a long-time RH fan but a brand new poster.

I received today only "By the sword" through Amazon, and I had the surprise (and delight!) to see that is was a limited signed edition. Are those editions scattered among regular books? Has there been a snafu somewhere and I received a book which was not for me? (I was supposed to received it sometime around 1st June, and only delaying messages kept arriving).

I'll be very happy to share my impressions and questions about "By the sword" once I've read it!

Lucky you!!!Smile Welcome to the board.

Jack finds a way to put a shield on earth to protect is from the superpowers? (OK, that one sounds too much like a tinfoil hat)

Keep this quiet, ok?

I hacked into FPW's computer the other week, and stole the secret updated Nightworld manuscript.

Wow, is all I'm gonna say.

Who would have thought that at the end Rasalom would have simply said he was sorry? Apparently inside that weird sack thing he was reading Watership Down, and it taught him a very powerful lesson.

He puts everything back as it was and settles down with the gang in Glaeken's apartment and they play parcheesi til the wee hours.

It's poetic and quaint, and I personally think it's the best thing FPW has written since The Keep. Wink

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."
