It says "Based on the novel by Philp K. Dick", but I don't think so. I read original short story, "The Golden Man". But in this movie, Nicolas Cage wasn't golden man. I guess script writers didn't read short story! They shouldn't say this is based on the novel of PKD. It's insulting to Philip K. Dick.
Some action sequences forced a smile to me. Oh, this movie had many stupid scenes. He said "I can see two minutes future", but clearly he could foresee the far future.
I was waiting for the movie of The Man in High Castle. Who can make the movie? I'm not sure now...

AlvinFox Wrote:I had to see Next and, admitedly, in the end Nic Cage started seeing further into the future than the initial two minutes. It was explained that being around Jessica Biel helped him see farther than two minutes but then even when he wasn't around her he was seeing farther ahead. But then the whole thing is moot because
the last half of the movie wasn't 'real'.
AlvinFox Wrote:Oh, and I had to see it because I was an extra in the casino scenes. Not that I'm in the movie. They paid me $250 to be in a background scene that they didn't even use.

Kenji Wrote:Ah, I see. But wait a minute!
The last half of the movie was "dream" or "foresee"?
..........I confused.
Quote:Hey, Alvin, that's cool! They didn't use you, nevertheless they paid you $250? Viva Las Vegas!!!
