I liked Léon a lot...but didn't he die at the end? A prequel would certainly be acceptable, but Jean Reno has aged a fair bit since then.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Yeah, now that I think about it. been awhile since I seen it. But Natalie Portman is all grown up ....

but sequels are always so disappointing.

I heard they are doing a Lost Boys sequel ... will probably suck too.

Lost Boys sequel...[shudders from revulsion]...that can only end badly.

Natalie Portman as a ruthless killing machine in The Professional 2? I'd buy that for a dollar.

The lost boys sequal looks abysmal lol. Corey Feldman and the other guy cried when they heard that they werent offered a part in it and they put them in it and it just looks retarded. But a Leon sequel i think would be awesome to have Natale Portman to have grown up into some kind of Professional in the light of leon and her family dying and no where to turn.

I want to see the promised sequel to The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, Buckaroo Banzai vs. The World Crime League.

Of course it would have to be re-cast. I was thinking since Buckaroo Bonsai is supposed to be half Japanese and half white, why not have an Amerasian or Eurasian like Mark Dacascos or Russell Wong star as Bucaroo?

And instead of remaking Escape from New York why not continue the adventures of Snake Plissken after he detonated EMP at the end of Escape from LA. Kurt Russell's could still do it.

South Park, Yes!! That movie should have worshipers!!Big Grin

"Lord, what fools these mortals be"

"The opposite of war isn't peace; it's creation."

You'd think that Killing people would make them like you, but it doesn't! it just makes people dead.

The Goonies also.... though I don't know if that is still being contemplated..... I hope not.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Nim's Island. I was waiting for a big escape-from-the-volcano finale (Jodi Foster trying to come up with how someone survives falling into a volcano, coupled with the smoke rising from the until-then "fake" volcano on the island, adding up to...nothing!), but didn't get it. I'd love to see a sequel explore that.

Also, it's not really a sequel kind of movie, necessarily, but if orchestrated right, Kate & Leopold could have a good follow-up.

And finally, am I the only one just a little bit bugged by the complete and utter lack of closure to the five stories of The Dead Girl? From Toni Collette's creepy relationship with Giovanni Ribisi, to Mary Beth Hurt's cover-up cliffhanger, to just plain wondering what happened with the titular girl's mother and friend, it was half of a great movie, but no conclusions whatsoever.

"...and your last thought is that you have become a noise...a thin, nameless noise among all these others...howling in the empty dark room"

Yes, Leon DID die in the end, kind of (since you never SAW him die...) but they could have a movie about the little girl, growning up and following in leons footsteps, after she gets out of school. Or perhaps she is moonlighting
away from school, in her later years, and then just moves out into the streets!

it's just a thought
