Hi! I joined in December and I was just wondering what everyone's favorite Repairman Jack scene is. I know that all of the books are wonderful, but I was just wondering if anyone liked a specific part. My favorites would be when he saves his dad from the tornado and yells at it and the part about the eyeballs. I love the way he can morph himself to fit into any situation. He has played loads of personas, varying from gay men to nerds. I just thought that I would get some opinions from other people. Thanks!

Welcome aboard. My personal favorite is Jack exacting revenge on the guy who killed his mom. And like you say, it is hard to pick just one from amongst the many great moments. There have been several threads on this topic-use the search option and type in favorite scenes to access more, but this seems to be the main one...

Mine is when he was dressed as Santa and tossed the gift thief a massive beating. It was a new Christmas classic and a true Festivus miracle.

No worries. Lately I've been thinking it would be interesting to hear some new perspectives from newcomers on topics that have previously benn discussed.

My favorite is where we were at Disney World, and Tony nearly caught Paul on fire with a flaming tequila shot! Big Grin

Oh, you mean from one of his BOOKS! Sorry.

No need to be sorry! Some of us have been here for years (many of the others far longer than I), and we encourage new people to come on board. You will find this a very friendly place and lots of fun. The best thing about it is that the people here are really great and very caring. The next best thing is that Paul Wilson, our Raison D'etre, is always around and very accessible. There's a good chance that you will be communicating with him directly on this board, and you will have chances to meet him in person if you choose.

It's great to have you here!

Quite true! Especially for those of us with short-term memory loss! Wink

Welcome to the board!

I have so many favorite scenes, it's difficult to know where to begin.

1. The scene from THE TOMB where Jack enters the hold of the ship to face Kusum, striding down the corridor looking like the avatar of a vengeful God.

2. The end of the Santa Claus scene in LEGACIES after Jack drove the truck onto the curb, and passersby stop to look at the "Nail," (who is tied to the grill of the truck) and point and laugh at the antlers taped to his head.

3. There are too many scenes in ALL THE RAGE, but the harrassing phone calls using hisThurston Howard immitation, and the hilarious and humiliating way he deals with Dragovic, are among the best.

That's enough for now.

Welcome Bgerk0504.
My two favorite fix-it scenes are the Santa fix and the tires from the helicopter drop. Either will make me smile when I think of them.
