I may have missed this explanation in some other thread but here goes......In following the flow of oDNA as described in the latest RJ book, which one of Jack's parents had the oDNA to begin with? I have a hunch that his dad might have had a touch of it but, needless to say, the whole oDNA thing, as far as Jack is concerned, was left hanging in the breeze.

Considering the amount of oDNA that Jack has, I'd bet that both of his parents have their own share. Now that the YA series is being written, I'm sure that we might see just how special Jack's parents are. Even if Jack's brother and sister don't seem to have their share of oDNA....it's as if all the stars lined up to "produce" Jack. In any event.....we'll just have to wait to find out. I for one, can't wait!

Thanks for the welcome backs ya'll. I was really hoping to get an opening of FPW's mind on this one. Then again, like I was afraid of, maybe Paul doesn't even know. Being a writer, I can relate to that. I hate it when you write yourself into a corner and your readers call you on it and expect you to give them an answer to a question you yourself haven't answered yet. Then again I wouldn't put it past Paul to yank our chains.

Another "twist" in the story? Cool beans, I just love the twines and turns that are woven into this series. Keeps me coming back for more.

And now it's time to edit the biochemistry texts! I'm glad oDNA hasn't been taken already.

I'm dying to read the YA Jack books to find about more about this oDNA stuff too. It reminds me a little of the "supermale" debate, with the increased aggression and violent tendencies.
