So any of the board members going to this thing? Wondering if there is someone we can burden with lots and lots of proxy bids......

. . . . or we could all lump our money together and make a massive bid to get me in the new book!

Eh, guys? Anybody else think that sounds like the only fair way to go about it?

Anybody. . . . ?

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

BK Akitas Wrote:Way way back in the days of the dinosaurs when I was actually kind of a hottie, I did a little bit of modeling and 'acting', mostly promotional stuff (like for Team Marlboro at the big races, wear cute shirts, hand out merchandise, talk up the event) and did a few extras bits- including being dead. whole bunch of us sat in makeup for three hours to get filmed for fifteen minutes as piled up bodies, and it's all of about a half second of film. go figure.

That's so cool! LOL Which movie or tv show was that?

If you’re going to Thrillerfest – bid.

If you’re not going and know someone who is, maybe they can bid for you.[/SIZE]

This is funny! I remember saying with regard to the contest late last year that it would be a nice prize (and a source of lasting fame) to get killed in an RJ novel, but I was thinking of getting killed by He Who Is Not To Be Named (for to name him is to call him), rather than getting killed by RJ himself!

Then out spoke brave Horatius, the Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late; And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, For the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods,"
"Well, John Henry said to the Cap'n, "A man ain't nuthin' but a man. But, before I let that steam drill beat me, gonna die with my hammer in my hand, Lawd, Lawd, gonna die with my hammer in my hand."

Did a few, the one was called sandman or something like that, really low budget by this film group out of Tempe (in fact I think that was their name!), also did some of the extra shots for a vandamme movie, (sudden death I think, the hockey one)...the agency I did some work with was in Boardman OH, and coincidentally they also did a lot of the extras casting for shawshank redemption which was filmed out at the old mansfield prison.

I'm waiting on the answer about being able to sub another name if we win (the anagram idea was great)...I wanna be a GOOD guy! my mother, on the other hand.......

If I could put up a good fight and nearly get Jack, I think it would be worth it. As long as I was only portrayed as a bad guy. (Not a pervert/necrophiliac/existing president of the US) I could die with that!Smile
