The winner of this particular prize will become a character in the RJ novel currently in progress and will die in a truly awful manner at the hands of Repairman Jack.
If you’re going to Thrillerfest – bid.
If you’re not going and know someone who is, maybe they can bid for you.
This is funny! I remember saying with regard to the contest late last year that it would be a nice prize (and a source of lasting fame) to get killed in an RJ novel, but I was thinking of getting killed by He Who Is Not To Be Named (for to name him is to call him), rather than getting killed by RJ himself!
Then out spoke brave Horatius, the Captain of the Gate: "To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late; And how can man die better than facing fearful odds, For the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods,"
"Well, John Henry said to the Cap'n, "A man ain't nuthin' but a man. But, before I let that steam drill beat me, gonna die with my hammer in my hand, Lawd, Lawd, gonna die with my hammer in my hand."
