Another thought...

As Paolo was trying to dig a hole on the beach to hide the diamonds, Locke came by and told him that things on this Island tend not to stay buried. I suspect that means Paolo and Nikki, too.

Good episode. Damn that Juliet. Damn that Ben. Can't trust either one. The plane went down just one day after Ben found out he had a tumor. Do you think Ben brought down the plane for the sole purpose of getting Jack to operate on him?

During the coming attractions, the announcer said the last 5 episodes are the beginning of THE END? What does that mean? Marc had written somewhere that perhaps they are ending LOST next season. Could it be true? Or do they mean just the end of this season?

Can someone tell me how the devil Juliet could know Sawyer shot someone the night before he got on the plane? Who are these people?

And how many unanswerable questions can I ask in one post?

PS Charlie most definitely had his teeth worked on. They now look like big, white, perfect American teeth, not the awkward, uneven British teeth with which he began the series.

Every time you start to like Juliet, she does something nefarious. What purpose could they possibly have to place Juliet amongst the jet people? Why display the sympathetic parts of her back story? I don't get it.

I think the plane crash seemed like it was a surprise to Ben, but I don't know. If they DID do it on purpose, maybe they just needed Claire. From the way the crash was portrayed on screen, I don't know how ANYONE survived.

Maybe they're all dead.

During the previews, I don't remember the announcer saying "the end." I do remember that it was hyped pretty strongly with "CATACLYSMIC" as one of the adjectives. I'm assuming they mean the end of the season. That will kind of suck because FINALLY stuff has been happening on the series. I don't understand any of it, but at least you get the sense it is going somewhere instead of treading water for weeks at a time.

Didn't I see Locke during the previews?

What are you talking about? It's the island. THE ISLAND!!!

ROFL! Omigosh, how foolish of me to think that reality could intervene here. OF COURSE IT'S THE ISLAND! What was I thinking?

Most definitely he said the beginning of the end. I taped the show and watched it again.

And I slow mo'ed through the previews. Yes, Locke gets hit on the head by Sawyer. It looks like Sun may be taken captive by someone, or at least a hand is put over her mouth as if something nasty is going to happen to her. Sun's husband (having a senior moment and can't remember his name) appears several times looking concerned. Desmond's famous picture of himself and girfriend, Pen, is shown again. Lots of shots of a HUGE SOS in the sand...the sound of a helicopter. Action packed promo. Let's hope it pans out.

Oh, and another scene...Kate is kissing someone DEEPLY (lots of tongue), and I couldn't tell if it was Jack or Sawyer. I think it was Jack, saw some scruffy dark 5 o'clock shadow. Can't be sure though.

Looked like Sawyer to me. I also saw Locke in the previews. I hope Desmond doesn't leave the island. He's the only character I really like, the others are critical to the story, Desmonds not and he fits into my theory about the season and Hurley. Not sure if I put it into my thoery in an earlier post. I knew Juliette was one of them and knew something was up with the handcuffs, but then I thought she might have been trying to change then... it showed her talking with Ben. It's been 4 days since the handcuffing so things'll be getting good soon. I just couldn't believe how evil (for lack of a better word) Juliette and Ben's plan was. I don't think I'm ever going to like Juliette again.

She's a woman. You'll like Juliette again.

I'll bet that Ben has "forced" Juliette to cooperate with his evil plan. She wants to leave the island and see her sister. (That's of course IF her sister is really alive.) She would do just about anything to accomplish this. I just hope that smug look on her face as she surveyed the survivors isn't the real her.
And what about Locke's father. Did he get left tied up and gaged in a little room? Justice by starving to death.

I toldja that Juliet was a spy. She'd do anything for Ben, the man who "supposedly" saved her sister (Ben: I learn what people love the most and use it against them--[paraphrased]).

Is it just me or does Juliet wear a face that appears to be on the verge of breaking into maniacal laughter? That grin appears at once to be both sinister and benign.

A friend of mine works as a security guard for Heroes, and the scuttlebutt is that this is indeed the last season of LOST. But isn't this how rumours get started. (Note that I wrote the Brit version of rumours, so as not to leave anyone out of this post). Wink
