Neither. After a while we either just lose interest, or have nothing else to say on the subject.Wink

I have a sjimbok now and been having fun with it, I trimed the branches off the Christmas tree with it and have been butchering various shrubbery with it. My latest Cold Steel acquisition is a 6” TI-Lite, and a 5” Gunsite. I am completely satisfied and very impressed with the product. In my opinion Cold Steel is the best knife on the market. I’ll say this with confidence; if I had to use a knife as a weapon or a tool it would be Cold Steel.

Not a fan of Cold Steel per se (they're excellent, just not my cup of tea). I'm more of a Benchmade, Perrin and Masters of Defense fan.

Cut and run man. Cut and run. Its not a knife fight, its self defense.

I'm not familiar with the last two. I do know Benchmade well enough, I think they are over priced, a decent knife but not in the same league as CS, it's my opinion. base this on a respectable understanding of cutlery and the various usage or applications of blade types. Agian just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. But I still prefer Cold Steel, they've gained my confidence over the years. I have a pretty descent knife collection, but the only knives I carry are the ones that have gained my trust. For the last year it's been a Gerber, and I could go on and on about it.

You know what the best knife is Ken? The one in your hand when you need it.

Yep. Make sure the one in your hand is of good quality.

tooleman Wrote:Hi all, I’d like to discuss fine edged weapons like the Spyderco Endura depicted in the later FPW’s RJ novels. I’m a big fan of this particular knife and want to find one that has been converted to automatic.

Instead of one converted to automatic, just buy one with the Emerson Wave feature. It is faster then an automatic when deploying.
Just an idea.
