Don't try getting deep on me now Mike! :p

I meant that with great power has great responsibility. See? (Crap, did I just crossover from DC to Marvel there?)

DC Comics - an accident - gamma radiation - turning green - Dr Bruce Banner ......

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Never. The Hulk was a member of the original Avengers, along with Thor, Iron Man, and Ant Man.

You left out the Wasp. But that line-up only lasted for one issue. Antman becomes Giant Man, Hulk runs away, and Captain America is discovered on an iceberg that's been floating around since WWII.

But obviously, the Hulk was never part of the Justice League.
