Susan, can't wait to see this new Bond. Daniel Craig was terrific in "Munich" in a quiet role, and he was the ONLY good thing in "Infamous," where he played Perry Smith. In fact, Craig's Perry Smith was better than Clifton Collins, Jr. who played Perry Smith in the awesome "Capote." Collins was good, but Craig brought a sexy menace to Smith in "Infamous." I suspect his Bond is infused with a fabulously sexy menace.
jacobm Wrote:Even my wife who refused to see a Bond movie for years said she loved this film. Daniel Craig has been excellent in every movie I have seen (ie: LayerCake, Munich) and he is every bit James Bond, certainly more so than anyone since Connery. The scene when Bond steps out of the ocean brought a gasp from my wife...I think she will see another Bond film after this.

NewYorkjoe Wrote:The original Woody Allen "Casino Royale" was mere campGasp! NOTHING with Peter Sellers, David Niven, Orson Welles, Ursula Andress, etc., etc., etc. could ever be mere anything! Plus an uber-cool theme by Herb Alpert, may his lips never wrinkle.

I also didn't like the introduction of a brand new character for the very last scene.
