A week ago we shot a short film for a 13-Day Horror Film contest. It has been submitted to the UK company running the contest and I have now posted the film our website.

The Quiet Darkness is a supernatural thriller about the remaining 10 minutes of a young woman's life. If any one is interested in watching it visit the site here. Quicktime 7 is required as well as patience... the file is 46MB.

It is best viewed with the lights off and the volume up.

WOW!!!!! Marc. I got goose-bumps every time I caught site of the figure in black in the mirror! The last few seconds also gave me the chills....when she was pulled back. Fantastic film, I hope you do well with it!

The Quiet Darkness was nominated as a top ten finalist for the 13-Day Horror Film Contest out of over 60 entries. While we didn't win any awards just being in the top ten is extremely exciting. Thought I'd share my mornings good news.

Today the awards were announced for the Halloween Horror 13-Day Challenge. As I've already mentioned The Quiet Darkness was an official selection of the festival (i.e. was in the top ten films screened) . As if that wasn't enough of a pat on the back we took home three other awards:

Best Actress (Alissa Bailey)
Best Screenplay
Best Special Effects

I'm beaming, I know.

Unfortunately, I knew what to expect because of Cobalt's post. I'm a fast reader, my eye skims and the information is absorbed, even if I am not reading purposefully. However, if I see a spoiler alert I will avoid that post altogether. Too bad a spoiler alert was not posted.

I do wish I could have seen the film without the foreknowledge, it surely would have had a greater impact. But it was terrific nevetheless, Marc. Congratulations! You deserve all your awards.
