Don't know if this has made it to the US, it is in series 5 in the UK

I have just discovered it, and have to say it is the funniest thing on TV at the moment (in a really warped way)

It is about a seriously disfunctional family

If you get the chance give it a try

Gotta agree, Britfan, Shameless is great. I've been with it since day one simply because it began at a time when Number One Son needed his evening bottle and, whereas John was eventually weened off his evening feed, I've yet to be weened off Shameless!
So I'll second your motion: give it a try!

"I handed in the new RJ novel with the
working title, BY THE SWORD. David says the sales force loved the title at the
pre Turkey-Day sales meeting, so that's what it will be. That means Paul Ramplin
gets a credit line in the acknowledgments.

It doesn't appear to be airing here on BBCA yet. But now I want to see it.

Some of my favorite imports are

1) Wire in the Blood
2)The Catherine Tate Show
3) Torchwood
4) HEX
5) Swinging
6) Doctor Who
7) Airline (The American version is good too, angry American passengers are crazier than the Brits.)

I am sure once Shameless airs i will be hooked. Damn you guys from across the pond, I seldom watch American shows anymore. When I do they are american versions of British shows.

If you can play region 2 DVDs then amazon.com has series 1-3 for $107

Alternatively if you knew a friendly Brit Wink amazon.co.uk has series 1-4 for circa $80.

Try a few clips on youtube, if interested I can get you copies cheaper in UK

Sorrel got me into Shameless a while ago. I thought it was ace up until James McAvoy left. After that I thought it started to get very silly --- too much farce and not enogh life affirmation, if you know whumsayin?

When the stoooopid criminal bumbling overlords moved in next door, I stopped paying attention Rolleyes

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.
