I saw an early version of this years ago. It's hilarious.

Some dialogue, courtesy of IMDB:

Kro-Bar: Aliens? Us? Is this one of your Earth jokes?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dr. Paul Armstrong: Betty, you know what this meteor could mean to science. It could mean actual advances in the field of science.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skeleton: I sleep now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Skeleton: I HAVE RISEN!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ranger Brad: We take our horrible mutilations seriously around these parts.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kro-Bar: Sorry, sometimes my wife forgets that she is not an alien from outer space.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Roger Fleming: Ranger Brad, I'm a scientist, I don't believe in anything.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ranger Brad: I've seen a bear do things, well... even things that even a bear wouldn't do.

I saw a preview for this when I say Bubba Ho-Tep in Chicago. It looked so assinine as to be totally hilarious! I want to see it. I especially like that first quote.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

I just laughed for two minutes straight, so...

The just released version is worth seeing. The cheese was a bit too thick for me in places, but overall it was quite funny. The 'horrible mutilations' scene is worth watching the entire movie for. The score was impressive as well.
