Good question. But I don't really "hear" a character's voice in my head as I read, certainly not in the manner in which I hear it when it's spoken. I don't get my characters that way. I think I "see" characters more clearly than I "hear" them. Wow, this could be a whole thread unto itself.....how do you read? What do you see? How do you hear what you read? I think I'll start one.
