So while the use of $1000 bills is unusual, it's still perfectly legitimate. Of course, Jack knows currency so he would be well aware of this.

I WOULD be VERY wary of taking them, probably wouldn't take them. It's also one thing to read it in a novel and another thing for it to happen in real life (obviously! ).
