I don't know that I could pick a favorite Jack book, but if someone held a gun to my head and forced me to try, it might be The Haunted Air. (I still haven't read Infernal.) I think the thing that made The Haunted Air click so much with me is that the villains are so absolutely disgusting that you just can't wait for Jack to drop the hurt on them. There's also a lot of tension in that some people very close to Jack get pulled into the danger. Great, great book.

I loved All the Rage, too. All of the Jack books have bits of great humor, but All the Rage probably had the most. My favorite bits was the stuff with Scar-Lip though --- and I sure hope we haven't seen the last of him!

I just finished ATR yesterday and enjoyed it quite a bit. Not as much as Conspiracies (my intro to FPW), but still very good.

To my dismay however, I just found out that The Touch and a number of the other books are no longer in print. My plan was to alternate between RJ and the Adversary Cycle until I got caught up. Now I'll have to wait. So I picked up a copy of Sims and also Hosts yesterday. I'll read Sims next and then go back to Hosts when I'm done with that.

Does anyone know where I can get paperback copies of The Touch and Reborn?

I got my copies of the Adversary Cycle books off Half.com and eBay.

I agree with whoever above said The Haunted Air was their favorite RJ. Second fave Conspiracies, then All The Rage. But these were extremely tough choices to make, and they are all definitely the top teir for me.

And so far, Infernal is setting up to possibly bump one of these others out of the top 3...

Which is why I don't even bother to rank them .... Wink

All the Rage was my favorite! We need Jack to team up with the last Rakosh...in some way, not Starsky and Hutch, but allies begrudgingly. What do you think? Intriguing!!!
