Both were very well done I thought. Much better than the abysmal Desperation. Hope the series does well cause there's a whole lot of Stephen King shorts left!

Wouldn't it be cool to one day see Soft and Others: From the Stories of F. Paul Wilson?

I was thinking the same thing while I was watching!

Amazing. The actor was just incredibly expressive. I really loved the way he snarled back at the commando on his chest, and his final sigh of resignation was just priceless.

Not to complain but they really chose some weak stories. When I think of King's short stories I think Graveyard Shift, One For The Road or Survivor Type. Seems like TNT wants to skip the horror and take on stories like Umney's Last Case. I missed it last night but they have some damn good character actors in this series. William Hurt and William H Macy, not too shabby.

Office Space ..... err, um Ron Livingston was in the second one last night. Big Grin

Again, I felt they were done will. I liked the intentionally hoaky special effects in The End of the Whole Mess (I think that's what it was called).

They changed around Umney's Last Case but I still think they did a pretty good job. Macy was perfect as Umney. The End of the Whole Mess was cool. They followed the story pretty close except that he was videotaping instead of writing. Thank goodness for that. Watching him write would've been really boring. I've never even heard of Ron Livingston before but he made a great Bow Wow.

Can't wait until next week! I think next week's are The Virus Road (or something to that effect) - never read that one. And I think You Know They Have a Hell of a Band is the other one. That's one that get messed up if its not done right. Hope they do it justice.

Ron Livingston was the main character in Office Space. He was also in Band of Brothers.

The Road Virus Heads North is from Everything's Eventual (I wish they were doing that story). It's about a picture that changes, like the picture of Dorian Gray or that Night Gallery episode (more similar).

---------------------------
The week after that is Autopsy Room Four (also from Everything's Eventual) about a guy about to be autopsied who is still alive.

You Know They Got A Hell of a Band, I don't remember either. Is this the one about the hidden town inhabited by dead celebrities?

The other one next week is The Fifth Quarter, which I don't recall at all.

Didn't see either one of those.

I have that book but I just never read that story, I need to re-read it and just out that Dorian Gray type story.

Yes, this was an awesome story!

This one I do remember, very cool story. Thanks for that correction. I want to check that one out.
