FPW just made reference to the fact that the new Borderlands edition of The Tomb will be called Rakoshi as he originally intended. I am not a "collector" of books, so I am not familiar with all the terminology and such. Is the Borderlands edition exclusively hard bound? Is it just a different publisher? Is it a special edition? Someone please enlighten me. I feel like a newbie in a chat room that doesn't know all the chat abbreviations. [winks at Scott]

Thanks

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

The Borderlands edition is a signed hardcover limited to 1000 copies. It will be the 20th anniversary edition and the only hardcover edition of the revision I did for the Tor mass market edition; it will be the only edition named Rakoshi; it will be the only edition with the introduction I'm writing for it. Plus I'm sure I will add a few edits when I go over the scans.

Rakoshi will be the title of both the Limited and Lettered editions ($60, $250, respectively), even though it still says The Tomb on the Boderlands site? I just put my reservation in so...........

BTW, the link for Rakoshi off the main page is dead.

I read the title of this thread and laughed out loud.

Jim are you collecting Paul, himself, to perhaps hide him in a closet or put him on display?

I recommend pleasant.

Unfortunately Paul rejected my offer to sit there and hold my copies of his books on his lap. Apparently he wanted money or thought it would be too "weird" or something.

...

I don't even remember making this thread let alone any specifics.

Looks like it must've been a typo as it is corrected in the body of the message.
