Marc B. Wrote:The new preview for Linklater's latest film, A Scanner Darkly, is now up. It's based on Philip K. Dick's story. Watching the preview I have to say Linklater is a visionary when it comes to the creativity of film. He uses a similar "animation" technique he used in Waking Life. Anyway, you can check out the preview here.

Scott Miller Wrote:What a trippy, paranoid fantasy. Definitely a much tighter grasp of the animation process compared to WL. I really had no idea what to expect but was immediately sucked into its twisted version of the near future and it carried through the entire movie. It was cool to recognize the actors by sight rather than voice in an animated film and the cast delivered superb performances, especially Robert Downey Jr. and yes, I even thought Keanu was quite effective in his role. Heavy on dialogue and much funnier than I expected. I recommend it, but probably not for everyone.
