On a related note, the first part of season one of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" is now available on DVD. This is where my money is going. I love this show.

Ah, the memories. VTTBOTS is probably the first live-action show that hooked me; I had to tune each week to see what Admiral Nelson, Captain Crane and the rest of Seaview's intrepid crew would get themselves into. My brother and I waged epic battles with our sister, a Room 222 fan, over who would get watch their show on the color tube upstairs.

I do wonder how well the show holds up after all this time; I haven't seen an episode in over 30 years. I'm struggling even coming up with any other than the one where the Seaview was turned into a jungle.

When I found out that VTTBOTS was coming to DVD, I explained to my wife about the nostalgia of watching the show. I went so far as to act out the effects of the Seaview being rocked by underwater explosions.
