Now I'm reading Midnight Mass, and I have one question...

In hard cover TOR edition, page 176...The scene The Brits argue with Olivia, then suddenly thunderous boom rattled the windows and shook the floor beneath Lacey. So....what was that cause?

Did I fail to notice something...? Or will I know about it later? I'm reaing page 196, but still I don't know that cause.

Spoiler Alert!!!!

I believe the explosion was when Gregor opened the closet that was boobie-trapped by Carol. It all happens in a few pages so you probably just didn't catch it.

*****Spoiler alert*****

I did catch boobie-trapped by Carol. But that boobie-trap was in Carol's house. And Olivia and The Brits and Lacey were in Post Office. So I thought that Post Office's explosion was not by her boobie-trap.

Carol's house is above Post Office? Or next door? If so, that explosion makes sense to me.

Am I mistaking?

I'm not that experienced with bombs, and I don't remember how close Carol's place was. I do know that, depending on the size of the bomb, you can feel them and hear them from miles away. When the military is firing off their big guns about 30 miles away, we can hear them and at times they rattle the windows. Pretty cool, I got to get me one!!!!!!!!! Cool For home defense, of course!

Well, I don't think that Post Office is far away from Carol's place. This is the lines I read in 176 page....

As the sound of the blast faded, the Brit and the three other undead who'd arrived with him cried out and clutched their chests.

And, this line is next page. The Brit said,...

"You! You did this! You're responsible!"

As I read those lines(especially the underline), I guess the explosion happened near Post Office. Otherwise, that explosion was too big. If so, Carole couldn't survive....

Spoiler Alert(Kind Of)

It will make more sense later in the story but the explosion at the house was directly responsible for the deaths at the post office. Let's just say that vampires in MM have a weakness humanity isn't aware of.

Today, I just finished reading Midnight Mass!

This is the best Vampire novel as much as "They Thirst", IMHO. Very powerful and high tensions, and many action sequences.....I enjoyed them! Reading of the Midnight Mass took a month, and it was easier than SIMS.

After I read MM, I was thinking about movie. Now I understood why we dislike movie version. In that movie, original characters were Joe Cahill and Palmeri only. Where is Lacey? Where is Carole? Where is Zev? Gregor, Olivia, Franco...? Okay, will someone remake this movie? I really hope someone remake it rightly. 98 min is too short, and that movie was only half of book.

And, this is another thoughts. While I was reading MM, I thought this is good for game. It'll be great game like Resident Evil.Cool
