Kicked ass!

Favorite line (no spoilers):

Where were the fluorocarbons when you needed them?

God, I love Jack. Pure fun.

Paul, typo in the beginning: "He’d designated April 19tKing Kong Day"

Let Steve know before THRILLER goes to press.

Thanks, Joe.

(He's talking about the RJ story in the Thriller anthology, folks.)

I'm royally pissed at the copyediting. I submitted a detailed style sheet with specific notes about all the apostrophes I was leaving out and some @%#$^#&*%!^@$# went and put them all back in.

Now I've got to take them out -- like I've got nothing better to do.

Do you mean the apostrophes? Or the "@%#$^#&*%!^@$#"?

Why would you leave out the apostrophes? They're so fun.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
~ Howard Phillips Lovecraft

I thought the accents came through fine with the apostrophes, if that's what you mean. They were invisible to me, and didn't distract from the story in the least.

Might be Mira's house style sheet to blame.

Apostrophes or not, RJ fans are going to love it. I still can't believe you killed Abe. Gutsy move.

And to think, it was Julio who killed him. Maybe he's related to Ana Lucia.

Paul, like I've said before--proofreading, the Bluesman used to earn his coin that way--leave it to me! Free of charge, doncha know! (Copyediting too, by Jesus, Mary and Joseph!) But =Abe= killed by =Julio=? It =must= be an alternate Universe tale. Unless NIGHTWORLD is drastically rewritten. What could have happened? Julio thinks Abe killed Jack?...

Indeed...no jokes ever to be found on this board. No one laughs. We just cry. Nothing ever said tongue in cheek. Nope, no jesting.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
