Oooohh...I'm jealous Stacy! I don't have such a system and won't get one. I can only imagine the complaints from everyone in my old and shaky building. But it sure sounds like a fabulous system to have if you've got the space and no one sharing a wall.

The Abyss! I highly recommend The Abyss to you.
Sound effect, visual effect, actors&actress, those elements are perfect to big TV and home theater system. At least, last scenes has worth to see on big screen.
Thanks for all the good suggestions! We watched Gladiator and that was awesome. I think we may watch Harry Potter with the neighbors. It really enhances the experience to have the sound and feel the explosions and stuff. We might sign up for Netflix or the Blockbuster home rental program so we always have movies on hand. We could put Alien and some of those others on our list and watch them as they come in. There isn't anywhere convenient for us to rent movies where we live.

For what's worth, Netflix is great. Never have to leave the house except to put the movies into the mailbox. Driving in a resort town is a nightmare so having it all sent to the house is great- turnaround time is 3-4 days from the time (AM) I mail the movie back to when I get the next one. Enjoy!

I would never sign up for Blockbuster. I'm not sure about the online service, but the stores rented edited movies, "boycotted" others, and often promoted Full Screen format over Wide Screen. Blech!!!! :mad:
