Well, I'm at the halfway mark and ... man ... I really let it all hang out in this one, didn't I. A dozen+ years since I've looked at it and I'd sort of forgotton all the horrors I piled on, one after another, all against the backdrop of the daylight's ticking clock. Where did I come up with this stuff? No kidding: I'm not crazy about the prose, but I am impressed with structure and the characterizations because I don't remember giving all that much thought to them. Maybe I've forgotten. Obviously I've forgotten. Almost like reading a new book.

I can't wait to read the revised Nightworld. It was this book that hooked me and made me a fan of yours forever... Big Grin. All the huge Lovecraftian horror with all the very intriguing characters. In my opinion there just aren't enough books like this.

I have other books of yours I like better now but this was the one that set the hook with me.

I know RJ is your bread and butter, but I've always felt that the AC, minus the RJ books except The Tomb, is the greatest horror story it has been my pleasure to read. You were letting it all hang out throughout the entire series.

I keep saying that we must get these books into Peter Jackson's hands so he can give it the LOTR treatment.

There's an idea: lets cast for the AC to get us thinking of something outside of who should play Jack. Of course, I don't have any ideas off the top of my head...

Who would play Jack then?

Sam Rockwell. You see its the best of both worlds, we can still contemplate Jack actors but now we have other considerations as well.

I could see a whole series made with these books- something that the SCI-FI channel could air. Each book would be a season, building up to Nightworld (which I have yet to read). If Battlestar Galatica can be re-made as well as has, they can make these books into a great series.

Argh! Another. One of many, but too egregious not to share.

It's not too egregious if the villagers actually got anything done. Politicians confer together all the time, but for all the good they do, they could confer separately. Especially since they never come to a consensus together, either.

It's not that egregious! I've been accused of conferring with (talking to) myself. If it's possible to confer with one's self (as Cybil certainly did), then why not conferring together (with others) being the next level?
