Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

What the .....?!?!? That is freaky! I've never seen that one.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Yep, that's a new one on me, too. And my friends wonder why I don't like to swim in the ocean. Deep sea or not, that's some scary shit. I'll stick to the pool.

Well, if he can decipher anything from the chaos of confusion in my head then meld away! Doubt there's anything useful in there.

jimbow8 Wrote:Awesome picture, Sam. That is essentially what I picture, too. I was just watching a Nat Geo show the other day about DEEP SEA creatures. There are some scary ugly creatures down in the depths.

Love these shows. Next to the angler fish (my favorite scary deep sea creature) the vampire squid is eerie as hell. Those blue eyes, reddish-brown body, spiked tentacles (whatever they're called). Part squid, part octopus, part jellyfish. Pretty weird.

I'd never heard of a Vampire Squid, so I went googling. This is what I found:

Seriously scary.

Oh, I remember that now. With the "wings."

I found the NOVA Deep-Sea Bestiary.
