I don't know why I rented this. A clumsy cross of "Mars is Heaven" with "Who Goes There?" The special effects (relative to what's available) are Reptilicus class. Just awful. (That's A-W-F-U-L.)

Those are 2 great stories. But leave it to Hollywood to fuck-up a beach party. Thanks for the warning, though.

I haven't seen The Tghing Below yet, so I checked it in imdb. I was surprised about user's comments...

I don't know why I rented this.

Probably because you're a sucker for underwater horror like me as I saw this clunker too. I was hoping for a fun, Deep Rising type of viewing experience, but was so disappointed with this mess that I fell asleep twice trying to finish it.

I just watched a decent B flick called The Despiser. More fun than scary and you must be able to put up with the video game syndrome, which I'm not generally fond of, but it kind of worked for me in this case.
