I know you hate to hear this, Mike, but I got my hardcover copy of the anthology, "Dark at Heart," from amazon.com used books, in very good shape, nice and cheap, too.

If you want the $.49 online version, you also have to go to amazon.com. Both FPW and RussM posted the link. Just click on it and it will take you there. Pay your 49-cents and you'll have the story. Here's the link, again.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

I bought the signed limited Dark at Heart, slipcas and all, at AbeBooks.com for about $40. It's a great anthology including stories by FPW, David Morrell, Jo Lansdale, Ed Gorman, and many more. It's signed by all of the authors. It's a good one.

There are quite a few there now, signed at $40 and up.

Good info, t4--thanks. "I'm the guy with the gun." Can't help but think of Nirvana, somehow. Sadly, Kurt did have a gun.

Oh, man, do I miss that show!!!

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
