However, it should be easy to edit an e-book and then resubmit it to Amazon (if Da Man is so inclined).

I sent Amazon a cleaner copy and they say they're going to make a switch.
The most embarrassing typo for me was "brassieres." I wasn't paying all that much attention to my spellchecker and allowed it to substitue that for "basseries."
