This is extremely well done -- lots of bang for not many bucks. It helps to watch I and II first (I think III is the best) but Legacy gives you enough backstory to make sense of it all. The Rumanian locations are used to great effect, it's got an interesting storyline with loads of internal and external conflict, lots of action, scares, creepiness, and naked goils. What's not to like?

I'll have to check these out, thanks.

Have you ever seen the 1931 Spanish version of Dracula with Carlos Villarías which was filmed on the exact same sets? The Featurette on Bela Lugosi's movie mentions that some consider it better because they watched the filming and then said "we can do that better."

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Do you mean Dracula 2000 pt III? I saw pt II, but I didn't know they'd made the next one yet. I'll have to pick it up.

Right, but I believe they left off the 2000 for II and III.
