This started off as a very tight thriller. Ever since Passenger 57 I thought thrillers on planes were a dud. But this one is actually interesting. Rachel McAdams is pretty good, making you believe her character is really struggling with the dilemma she's in and Cillian Murphy is the all-business bad guy instead of some insane nut. The story begins to unravel once they get off the plane, devolving into another on-the-run movie where bad guy chases good guy, but the first half definitely makes the whole experience worth it. I give it a B-.

If it was anyone other than Wes Craven, I'd agree and give it a B-. But, he pulled off some surprises and startling moments. So, I give it an A-.

The whole part on the plane could've been in a train, bus, etc. The movie didn't hang on the fact that it had to be a plane movie.

SPOILERS...

Saw it, wasn't all that impressed. Who was Cillian Murphy working for? What ever became of the persons carrying out the master plan? Are the secret service really that incompetent that the would just let a major change like that occur just because a public official says "It's okay, i know her". Way to many unbelieveable holes in the story. I know it is just a movie and is meant to entertain, but try to root it in a bit of the common sense soil.

I thought the acting was well done. Brian Cox does a good job in his limited role as dad. McAdams and Murphy are equally as enjoyable to watch, but the plot was a bit hard to digest.
