Hi all,

First, I apologize for being AWOL for the past few weeks. In the span of a short time I quit my job, had surgery (everything went great), moved, had no internet access, then got internet access but my computer crashed for two weeks, had a mouse infestation and then adopted a new kitten!

As you can imagine, I've been preoccupied with all that stuff and dealing with many changes.

I'm more settled now and loving my new country life in the mountains of northeast Alabama.

So who can summarize what I've missed in the last few weeks in one short paragraph? Big Grin

I recommend pleasant.

Welcome back, and good luck with all the changes. Sounds as though your exile was rather hectic unlike mine which was more work induced. I finally feel like I have the energy and the time to resume posting again. I have been keeping up on most of the posts, just not contributing. Wednesday was my last day at Blockbuster so I am down to one job for the next three weeks and even when I start my new job, the hours are going to be a drastic improvement from this summer. I might have a semblance of a life. The summation of the past month will have to come from elsewhere.

Summary? I will try: "Shame. Scandal. Epithets hurled. Apologies made. Haikus! Profound insights. Corny horsehit. Plenty good laffs. A tear or two. And the beat goes on."

Kind of sounds like a soap opera there Mike!
We also had books read and movies watched. A snake found and news of a new Jack short story. A trip to New York, Canada, and Vegas. We still haven't solved the worlds problems on the politacal threads, don't start Janice Evonavich unless you have money and time. A movie being made that still needs backing, aaannndd, dachsaunds are close enough to ferrets to be the next mystery womans dog! Miss anything?

Ken,
That's beautiful! I was moved, truly. I had no idea we'd done so much. And we all care so much, too. Somehow that came through in your summary. Wonderful!
